Agricultural Education Initiative

The UNLA is partnering with Agricultural Education programs throughout the State to promote opportunities for students through Work Based Learning and Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE's). Agricultural education programs prepare students for employment in careers related to production, processing, marketing, distribution, financing, and development of agricultural commodities and resources, including food, fiber, wood products, natural resources, horticulture, and other plant and animal products/resources.

The Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program involves practical agricultural activities performed by students outside of scheduled classroom and laboratory time. SAEs provide a method in agricultural education for students to receive real-world career experiences in an area of agriculture that they are most interested in.

In fact, in 2021 over 4.7 million dollars were generated by Utah FFA Members towards the Utah economy through their SAE's.

Whether you are an educator, student, or business owner, stay up to date on what is going on and the opportunities to get involved!
